Smith Transport is hiring CDL-A & CDL-B tanker drivers! Looking for steady freight, reliable schedules, and strong pay? Smith Transport’s 7-Axle tanker division offers consistent work, predictable home time, and excellent weekly earnings.

CDL-A Drivers must have 1 year of OTR experience. Class-B drivers with 6+ months tanker experience will be considered.

Pay & Schedule

  • Starting pay: $26/hour

  • Weekly hours: 60–65 on average

  • Overtime paid after 40 hours

  • Annual earnings: $104,000+ average

  • Raises: At 6, 9, and 12 months

  • Home time schedule for local drivers is 5 day on / 2 day off

  • Home time schedules for drivers who live across the US would be commitment of several weeks onsite and one week off

Requirements

  • Valid Class A with 1-year recent OTR experience

  • OR Class B with 6+ months of tanker experience

  • Must be able to operate 18-speed manual trucks

  • Tanker endorsement required
